Gurgaon, also known as the Singapore of India, offers a variety of sightseeing options. It also offers a wide range of international shopping experience to the tourists. Sultanpur Bird Sanctuary:
At a distance of 16 km from the town, this is a perfect haunt for passionate bird lovers. Founded by Dr. Salim Ali, it preserves over 100 species of birds, like saras, crane, spot bill, ruddy duck, and rosy pelicans.
Sheetla Devi Temple:
At one and a half kilometers, in the fringes of Gurgaon, this famous Hindu temple is also called ‘Shakti Peeth’. Dedicated to Mata Sheetla Devi - the goddess of small-pox, it is visited by several people of all religions and beliefs.
Damdama Lake:
Positioned a few kilometers to the south of Gurgaon, off Alwar road, Damdama lake is an amazing tourist spot. The adventure resort at Water Banks offers deluxe tents along the lake.
Sohna:
The town is specially remarkable for its hot springs.In ancient times, it was a place of rishis and the main kund (tank) was called Shiv Kund. Famed for medicinal properties, these sulphur springs were visited by foreign tourists during the British period.
Neemrana Fort:
This Fort-Palace is among India's oldest heritage resorts. Neemrana became the third capital of the descendants of Prithviraj Chauhan III, who was killed in battle by Mohammad Ghori in 1192 AD.
Brahma Sarovar:
The holy town of Kurukshetra is made venerable by the presence of many holy temples and water tanks. The Brahma Sarovar is a sacred water tank that is revered as the cradle of civilization. Belief is, that Lord Brahma conceived the Earth here, in all it’s diversity.
